I Walk Through London

I walk through London,
This city of cities,
Age-old pavements beneath my feet.
From ancient monuments to sparkling new skyscrapers,
The city breathes,
The bricks speak.
The river tells tales of medieval histories and Roman populace,
We hear the words of Blake and Dickens in the cobblestones.
It’s heart beats quickly, there’s no time for Londoners to stop and ponder,
We see the history around us and forge new footpaths into the future.
