It’s ready!

After lots of deliberation and self-doubt, I’ve finally published a collection of my poetry in paperback.

It was a labour of love and very cathartic. Basically, the book tracks the last 14 years of my life from being a very naive teenager, to going through motherhood, an abusive relationship, infidelity, divorce and then finally starting to heal and find myself again.

I wrote a lot of the poetry to get some closure and process my feelings about everything that happened. This isn’t the ‘lid on the box’ of that period of my life; I’m sure I’ll return to those themes as they had a very deep impact on me. For now, however, I’m going to try to focus more on my current, content reality. It’ll be a work in progress I’m sure, some scars take a very long time to heal.

 

So here it is, warts and all, my story:
